City Planner - Harker Heights is a fast growing community of approximately 27,500 people located in Central Texas close to Fort Hood and 50 miles from Austin. The City has excellent schools and affordable quality housing. The City consists of rolling terrain and is bordered by Stillhouse Hollow Lake. Applicant will be required to perform journey-level technical planning work in current and long-range planning projects, and use of GIS technology to prepare maps for various City departments. Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
Requires graduation from a college or university with a degree in urban or regional planning, geography, public administration, community development or a related field, and experience in research, planning and mapping work; preferably in a local government setting or an equivalent.
